Today marks the beginning of something rather special.
It’s a project we’ve dreamed about tackling for many years, but until now it has remained firmly on the “one day…” list.
That day has finally arrived.
Every classic car has a story.
So does every community.
Over the past twenty-five years, enthusiasts from across the world have shared their knowledge, experiences and memories through ado16.info. They’ve documented restorations, solved technical problems, identified rare parts, shared photographs and helped countless owners keep their cars on the road.
Together, those contributions have become something far greater than a collection of webpages.
They’ve become part of the history of the ADO16 itself.
Today we’re beginning one of the biggest preservation projects we’ve ever undertaken.
Behind the scenes we’re carefully recovering something many people thought had been lost forever.
This isn’t simply a matter of copying files from one place to another.
Every page has to be examined.
Every discussion checked.
Every relationship rebuilt.
Every piece of information carefully preserved so it can continue to help owners for many years to come.
It’s meticulous work—but it’s work worth doing.
Why?
Because knowledge has value.
Advice written nearly twenty years ago can still help someone rebuilding an engine today.
A photograph uploaded by one enthusiast can answer a question for another owner on the other side of the world.
Every shared experience becomes another small piece of our collective history.
That’s something worth protecting.
We’re not quite ready to reveal everything just yet.
Over the coming weeks we’ll be sharing more about Project Phoenix, revealing a little more of the story with each update until the time is right to lift the curtain completely.
For now, all we’ll say is this…
Something old is stirring.
And we can’t wait to share it with you.
